Staying Home for Spring Break

Staying Home for Spring Break This year, I will be spending most of my spring break at home. I am looking forward to the week because I will finally have time to relax. Each week of a semester is filled with so many different activities that it will be a much-needed pause from the fast life that college sometimes offers. I plan to spend the week with family at home playing games, catching up on homework, and fitting in some extra sleep. Spring break can be more than just a time for a vacation to somewhere else. It can be used to recharge for the weeks ahead. Having a little timeout from the hustle and bustle will make things more manageable in the long run. Dont forget to get outside for a little bit during break, too. Since spring break is in the middle of March, it will more than likely be very moderate outside. Go for a jog, ride a bike, play catch, or even try skydiving (if that doesnt sound terrifying). Having beautiful weather at home for spring break can make it an even better week. Wherever you are for spring break, remember that it is whatever you make it. Whether youre on a beach somewhere, in your own backyard, at the library attempting to learn Latin, or inside playing video games, your time over break can be spent however you feel is best. Let this be a time that you truly get away from what may stress you out during the semester. With that being said, I am gonna end this blog and get back to my favorite spring break activity: binge-watching  Portlandia. Jacob Class of 2019 IĆ¢€™m an Advertising student within the College of Media. My hometown is a place called Fairmount, Illinois, which is about 30 minutes from campus. I began my Illinois journey in the Division of General Studies.
